I want to ask you a question: Do you know your purpose in this life?
Have you ever stopped and wondered what the point of it all is? What is the purpose of life? What am I supposed to be doing in this world? These are questions that many of us have asked ourselves at some point. Yet the answer is much simpler than we often think.
Right now, the purpose God has given us is to go into all the world and share the Good News. The way each person fulfills that purpose may look different, and that's where the gifts and talents God has given each of us come into play.
We live in a world where humanity's true identity has been distorted. Sin separated us from God, but His love for us was so great that He sent His only Son to forgive our sins and restore our relationship with Him. Through Jesus, we see the greatest act of love the world has ever known.
Think about it this way: Imagine you created a tool for a specific purpose. Over time, that tool stops functioning the way it was designed to. At that point, you have two choices: throw it away because it no longer serves its purpose, or restore it because you value what you created.
If that tool was made with care and love, you would most likely choose to repair it so it can once again fulfill the purpose for which it was created.
In the same way, God is working with us.
God does not want you to be lost. He loves you deeply, and because of that love, He offers you the opportunity to be restored. His desire is for you to rediscover your true identity as a son or daughter of God and to live out the purpose for which you were created.
Because the world has lost its identity and drifted away from God, He has given us a clear mission: to share His Word and proclaim the message of salvation. God's desire is that no one would perish, but that everyone would have the opportunity to repent and come to Him.
Our primary purpose is not simply to live for ourselves, chase success, or accumulate temporary things. Our primary purpose is to know God, reflect His love, and share His message with others so that more people may be saved and reconciled to Him before His return.
Jesus Himself gave us this command:
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." — Matthew 28:19-20
This is our primary purpose: to live for Christ and share His message so that others may also find the salvation that is found in Him.
And if today you feel lost, without direction, or searching for answers, I invite you to begin a relationship with Jesus. Not a religion, but a genuine relationship with the One who created you, loves you, and has a purpose for your life.
In Him, you will find your true identity, and through Him, you can discover and fulfill the purpose for which you were created.
Jesus did not come to condemn you; He came to save you. Draw near to Him, get to know Him, and allow Him to transform your life. Today may be the day you find what you've been searching for all along.
